CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Under the supervision of Mrs. Loredana Gramada, Children Ministry Coordinator, the children from our congregation presented a one-act play called “The Most Precious Gift”, based on the birth of Jesus. The play was acted in the city of Urziceni and in the villages of Moldoveni and Boranesti. On this occasion, more than 300 children received Christmas gifts. On December 24 and 25, by singing Christmas carols, the children of our church took the message on the birth of Jesus to many families from the city of Urziceni.
On December 23, our church distributed packages of food to fifteen poor families (which meant a total of 57 people). This donation was possible through the generosity and the help of Betania Church from Zaragoza , Spain , of our sisters in the Lord from Elim Church , Arizona , U.S.A, and of other brothers and sisters in Christ from elsewhere.

On Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Slobozia, Ialomita, a meeting was organized for church workers from Urziceni, Slobozia, Amara, Fetesti and Barbulesti (village). The purpose of our meeting was to exhort God’s workers to cooperate with one another and edify the churches from this part of Romania. The regional pastor Costel Gramada suggested a project of partnership through prayer and more meetings with the church workers. An agenda for future meetings was established and a vision regarding the spiritual covering through a ”father-and-son” relationship was also implemented. The spiritually mature workers were recommended to adopt spiritual sons to whom they can be both spiritual fathers and mentors. This vision is imparted and developed by ”Europe-America Pastoral Fellowship”, which is guided and directed by John Dolinschi, missionary and pastor. It is a time of tremendous spiritual revival in Ialomita! And now is the time when God’s servants should wake up from lethargy and serve with love and more zeal for the Kingdom of God. God will do great and amazing things when His servants join together in fasting and prayer.

Pastor Dave Hickman from Indiana, USA, was the guest of honor in our church on Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21. God blessed us in a very special way through Pastor Dave’s ministering to us. On Saturday evening, he served our church at a prayer meeting through special intercessions and a word of prophecy and encouragement for every person who was present there. On Sunday, God manifested His presence in a special way, and Pastor Dave’s message called ”Remove Your Tent and Move Ahead” motivated the people to leave the place where God no longer wanted them to remain and move ahead to the Promised Land, trusting in God’s promise that He would never leave us, nor forsake us. He is Immanuel, God with us, only when we trust and obey Him. Sister Diana Gherasim interpreted for Pastor Dave.

On September 14, a new Sunday School year began. The worship service had a special emphasis on that occasion and was dedicated to both the children and the parents from our church. Tavi Bruma, a third-year student at the Pentecostal Theological Institute in Bucharest, addressed a message appropriate to the occasion. At the beginning of a new school-year, Pastor Costel Gramada anointed all the kindergarten and school-age children and prayed for them in the Name of our Lord Jesus for wisdom and guidance, and divine protection. |
